Modi Government Is Making It Difficult To Agitate
Those who have never been in any movement should understand that voting is not the only task. That is a day's work and a few hours' work. A bigger task than that is to monitor and question the decisions and actions of governments for five years. Also for his right and for the rights of others.
Many types of movements are taking place within the peasant movement. A movement is also about the release of the arrested people. The police have a hundred arguments to arrest an agitator. The matter of the release of everyone is not able to gain prominence and even after getting the place, the release does not matter. It is obvious that going into a movement and practicing democracy is risky. Those who have never been in any movement should understand that voting is not the only task. That is a day's work and a few hours' work. A bigger task than that is to monitor and question the decisions and actions of governments for five years. Also for his right and for the rights of others.
Let's start with the story of a democracy whose name is Naudip Kaur. Naudip Kaur is 24 years old and is a resident of Muktsar Sahib in Punjab. Workers demonstrated at Kondli in Sonepat. On January 12, Naudip Kaur was arrested. Karnal is in jail. The police have imposed several streams on Naudip. Streams of possessing deadly weapons, illegal assembly, rioting activities, etc. have been imposed. Haryana police say that when the police asked Naudip to withdraw, he attacked the police with a stick and a stone. It is not clear whether the stick is a lethal weapon or the police have got really deadly weapons from Naudip. The police claim that seven policemen were injured in the attack by the workers, including one of the women soldiers. Naudeep Kaur's bail has been canceled twice. The family members of Naudip allege that the police have allegedly killed Naudip. He has been given sexual harassment. The police deny this. In a video, Naudeep is talking about killing. The Scheduled Castes Commission of Punjab has taken cognizance. Have asked the Additional Chief Secretary to investigate the matter. Naudip is a Dalit. Meena Harris, niece of US Vice President, Canadian poet Rupi Kaur, Punjabi singer Jazzy B have appealed for Naudip's release. An nline campaign is also going on. Naudip's sister Rajveer says that Naudip took part in the march of 1500 workers amidst the peasant movement. The police is reportedly killed in the police station and sexually assaulted.
Along with Naudip, there is a demand for the release of Shivkumar. Shivkumar of Haryana is the state president of the labor rights organization. Naudip's sister Rajveer says that Shiv kumar's family members were not even informed and are not being allowed to meet them. There should also be talk of Shiv Kumar's release with Naudip.
Naudeep, who works in the workers 'organization, has been taking part in the farmers' movement since November. Bhumika Saraswati did an interview with Naudip only then. Without understanding of rights, participation in any movement is no longer a means. Naudip is equipped with an understanding of his rights and is confident about the role. Only those who go in the movement keep the power accountable and humane from time to time. The leaders of the United Kisan Morcha did not find the Prime Minister's agitational parasitic talk appropriate.
It is becoming increasingly difficult to agitate. Questions are also being raised about the arrest in the 26 January violence. The claims of the families and lawyers of the arrested people are different from the claims of the police. Manjinder Singh Sirsa, President of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, has formed a team of lawyers to provide legal help to these farmers. They say that many people have been arrested without any proof.
Gurmukh Singh is 80 years old. Jeet Singh is 70 years old. Both have worked for twenty years in the Sikh Regiment of the Indian Army. Gurmukh Singh retired in 1984 and Jeet Singh in 1989 but both did not know about each other. The village of both is at a distance of 120 km. Gurmukh Singh participated in the Indo-Pak war of 1965. Gurmukh and Jeet Singh have been arrested in the 26 January violence case. They are not subjected to UAPA. Of the 122 people arrested, many are above 60 years of age. Can 80-year-old Gurmukh Singh also commit violence?
It is being claimed that since January 26, more than 145 farmers had gone missing in which 24 farmers have not been detected so far, all these farmers came to Delhi in March. The Kisan Morcha says that Delhi Police is not deliberately supporting them, among these missing people are 70 years old to 20 years old.
On 26 January, when the crowds reached the Red Fort, the answer for this will be fixed, the answer is yet to come, on that day Deep Sidhu, who climbed the ramparts of the Red Fort and hoisted the mark Sahib, has been arrested. Deep Sidhu was caught by the Special Cell team of Delhi Police and later handed over to the Crime Branch. Deep was presented in the Tis Hazari court. Deep Sidhu, the main accused of violence and sabotage in the Red Fort, was arrested from Karnal, Haryana. Our colleague Mukesh Singh Sengar has quoted sources as saying that Deepd Siddu's Facebook account was being handled by his friend actress Reena Roy, who lives in California, Deep Siddu used to send him his videos from here.
People of his family have questioned the claim of the police regarding the death of 25-year-old Navrita Singh. Navrita's grandfather says that he died of a police bullet while the police say that the tractor was overturned. The post-mortem report also does not confirm the pill. Priyanka Gandhi went to participate in Navrita's Ardas. Even then Navrita's grandfather had said that the police claim is not correct. His grandson is shot. Is it a crime to report two separate claims about Navrita's death? Whether the people of India have decided that only the police claim will be considered final and whoever questions or will report separately from the claim of the police, then many sections will be imposed against him. Police of several states including Delhi Police filed FIR against Congress MP Dr. Shashi Tharoor, journalist Rajdeep Sardesai, Siddharth Varadarajan, journalist Mrinal Pandey, Zafar Aga, Paresh Nath, Anant Nath, and Vinod for running unverified news. They have been charged with sedition, criminal conspiracy, and hostility. Is treason for giving unverified news? It was challenged in the Supreme Court today. The case appeared before the bench of CJI SA Bobde, Justice AS Bopanna, and Justice V Ramasubramanian. The petition says that these FIRs should be canceled. The Supreme Court said that he will not be arrested for two weeks and the court will issue a notice. The hearing will be held after two weeks.
The process of maha panchayats continues in Haryana and Rajasthan. A maha panchayat was also held in Tehsil Pillibanga in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, in which farmer leader Gurnam Singh Chaduni took part. The crowds in the Maha Panchayats are telling that the peasant movement is spreading from the boundaries of Delhi to the village. Farmers' maha-panchayat was held in Gumthala village of Kurukshetra-Pehwa on Tuesday afternoon in which farmer leader Rakesh Tikait, along with Rajewal, other leaders of United Kisan Morcha were also involved. Thousands of farmers took part in this Mahapanchayat. Women, children, elderly are all included. Here a Punjabi singer named Rupinder Handa returned her folk singer award given by the Haryana government. Rakesh Tikait said that he is proud to be a movement activist. Regarding these maha panchayats, Sunil Ravish, a colleague from Kaithal, said that the maha panchayats of farmers in Haryana cannot be linked with caste. People of many castes are coming to every maha-panchayat. In the area where the predominance of agriculture-related caste, which is more, their dominance is seen in the maha panchayats, but other castes are also present. Sunil Ravish said that in Kaithal last week, people associated with the Kisan Morcha of the BJP Mandal have resigned in support of the farmer's movement. All these people belong to different caste society like Saini, Rathore, Nayak, Yadav, Panchal.
Delhi Chalo was given a call on 27 November for the farmers of Haryana. Before that, many farmer leaders in various districts were detained by the police. Farmers' lawyer Pradeep Rapadia said that the government admitted in court that 24 peasant leaders were kept in jail on charges of breaching the peace and they were released after some time.
The Congress continued to keep its distance from the Kisan Mahapanchayat, but after the participation of Sachin Pilot in the Mahapanchayat of Dausa, now the Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi is also going to participate in the Mahapanchayat. Priyanka Gandhi will participate in a maha panchayat to be held on 10 February in the shout of Sultanpur district. On Tuesday, the Rashtriya Lok Dal convened a maha-panchayat in Murbar Panth of Aligarh. Brotherhood is becoming prominent in these maha panchayats. Efforts are being made to remove the distance that came after the Muzaffarnagar riots to strengthen the peasant movement.
The peasant movement is also a cultural movement. Housing society buildings were erected in Delhi and nearby fields. With his arrival, many of the village cultures which used to be seen in Delhi have stopped appearing or diminished. Today Kanhaiya Dangal was organized in Shahjahanpur. You will see the scene of Kanhaiya Dangal played in Rajasthan.
